Ricky got his own Fisher Price camera for his birthday. The pictures are pretty low quality but he likes taking pictures and it’s fun to see what he comes up with. Here are some of the good ones (I left out all the pictures of the floor and headless people).

- Bee

Right now,
Dave Ramsey is telling me how to spend my money.
The Grocery Game is telling me what to buy
Weight Watchers is telling me what to eat.
FlyLady is telling me how to clean my house.
Beth Moore is making me do quiet time.
I have a John Rosemond book in my room that’s supposed to tell me how to raise my kids. I haven’t had time to read it.
That’s a lot of voices in my head telling me what to do. The problem is I’m not doing any of them very well.
These are pictures from a few weeks ago. I took Rachel to Pigtails and Crewcuts for her first haircut. We went after our Gymboree class, the hair salon is right next door. It was kind of a last minute decision and I didn’t have my camera with me. Luckily one of the other moms from Gymboree was there too and she always has her camera so she offered to take pictures and email them to me. That was great, especially since I’ve been so terrible at taking pictures the last couple months.
I was really happy with the haircut. I didn’t want to cut it but her bangs were so long they would get stuck to her mouth when she ate and she’s always pulling out her bows so her hair was in her eyes.
She got to sit in an airplane and eat animal crackers.
Here you can see just how long her bangs were.
She was such a good girl, no tears, and she even looked down when we asked her. (Her brother was much more dramatic with his first haircut…and second…and third.)
Here she is, they did a great job with cleaning up her bangs and all the different lengths of hair. But they didn’t cut too much and she didn’t have the straight across bangs. In fact they cut so little there’s hardly enough to save for a lock of hair, just a tiny baggie with some clippings.
My baby girl is growing up, sigh…

Rock and Roll!

Rachel wants to play too.
A lot. Unfortunately the blog has not gotten much love lately. Can’t make any promises except that I would like to be updating more often and we’ll see how it goes.
Things are crazy around the house, just like always. We’ve just gotten over being sick. From the virus of the week Rachel ended up with wheezing in her lungs that needed steroids, Ricky got an ear infection and I got the worst sinus infection I’ve ever had that ended with several hours of vertigo. Last week was spring break for me and I had so many aspirations of what I could get done-of course none of that happened.
But enough whining. I actaually have some pictures I can share over the next couple of days. None of which I took-since my camera is somewhere in the office, I think. For now I have about 10 minutes before the kids wake up and I need to do something productive.
I couldn’t bring myself to take a picture like Heather or Shaun, but you can figure out what I was cleaning off the floor tonight.
We actually had a really good day. I had to coax Ricky out of his diaper this morning, which was dry, and then he stayed dry all day. I even braved going to Gymboree and Costco without a pullup on. (I did have a towel and change of clothes in my bag.) He was perfect, told me when he had to go and used the potty at both places. Things were going great, I guess too great.
Back at home he continued to pee pee in the potty perfectly. But couldn’t get him to do anything else. Till the end of the night. I was trying as fast as I could to get Rachel to bed (after she dumped the water out of the humidifier onto the floor). I knew Ricky needed to “go,” then I hear him yell just as I was laying Rachel down, “potty time!”
There it was on the carpet, “Mommy, my poo poo fell out.”
- 10:07 oww, just cut my foot on a car laying on the floor while carrying Rachel. Can’t believe this is the first time I’ve cut my foot on a toy. #
- 10:15 @widneywoman seriously you say "eh"? I thought that was just a joke about Canandians! #

Co-o-ome on everybody it’s Potty Time
It’s pee-pee time
It’s poo-poo time
Come on everybody it’s Potty Time
Big Boys use the potty!
If you know me, I don’t sing karaoke, I don’t dance, I generally don’t like making a fool of myself. And yes I can be a bore sometimes. All that goes out the window for the chance of a little pee-pee in the potty. At least 20 times a day we are singing our Potty song, complete with clapping, dancing and today-instruments. Whatever it takes!
Don’t worry there will be no you tube videos of this.
